Verse of the Day...

Welcome

The Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney

Raised in rural Floyd and Montgomery Counties, Brad is a graduate of Shawsville High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Emory & Henry College, receiving the Bachelor of Arts in Music. Brad attended seminary at Boston University School of Theology, where he studied theology, as well as sacred music. After completing the Master of Divinity at BU in 2000, he was commissioned a probationary member of the Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. He was then ordained an Elder and made a full member of the Conference on June 16, 2003.

Brad’s first pastoral appointment was to Great Bridge United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he served for four years as the congregation’s first associate pastor. Brad spent the past five years as pastor of Gogginsville United Methodist Church in Franklin County. Redwood United Methodist Church is his third pastorate.

During his college and seminary years, Brad was active as a summer camp director at two different United Methodist camps in Virginia, as well as a church musician in both Virginia and Massachusetts. Brad’s particular areas of vocational interest include preaching and teaching, evangelism and church growth, mission, and Wesleyan studies.

Brad is married to Kimberly Allison Dulaney. Kim is a native of Hampton, Virginia, and holds degrees in English, Theology and Medicine. Since 2007, Kim has worked with Carilion Medical Associates in Rocky Mount as a family practice physician. Brad and Kim have three children: Zora Elizabeth (age 5), Jesse William (age 3), and Isaac Henry (9 mos.). As a family, they enjoy spending time together gardening, hiking, exploring nature, and almost any other outdoor recreation. While he devotes most of his free time to his family, Brad also enjoys listening to and performing music (classical, folk, bluegrass and rock), as well as running, reading and woodworking.
